Welcome to the new website of CARE International in Mozambique! This website provides you with an overview of CARE’s 30-year engagement in Mozambique.
Our new country program strategy draws and builds on CARE’s previous experiences and innovations – emphasizing CARE’s expanded role as a facilitator and development partner in Mozambique. Our existing program is implemented at a critical juncture in Mozambique’s history.
Existing natural gas reserves and other natural resources will potentially accelerate Mozambique´s economy, while attracting foreign and regional investors. It is in this context that CARE Mozambique aims to fight poverty and improve food and nutrition security by empowering women and girls to exercise their rights.
